About NZ Fuel Watch
Independent fuel-price and market context for New Zealand.
What is NZ Fuel Watch?
NZ Fuel Watch is a free, independent public information site that brings together New Zealand average pump prices, retail price trends, Dubai crude prices, the NZD/USD exchange rate, and relevant fuel-market news.
The site makes public market information easier to read. It is not a trading site or a government service. There are no paywalls or registration requirements; information about analytics, advertising, and contact-form data is available in our terms and privacy page.
What the dashboard shows
- Pump prices: Gaspy national average prices for 91, 95, 98, and diesel
- Price trends: recent movements in New Zealand average retail prices
- Crude and currency: Dubai crude in US and New Zealand dollars alongside NZD/USD
- News: links to recent New Zealand and international fuel-market coverage
Official fuel stock and shipping updates
NZ Fuel Watch no longer republishes fuel stock figures, scheduled tanker arrivals, or vessel tracking. For current official information, visit MBIE's fuel stock and shipping updates.
How it works
The dashboard periodically refreshes its retained price and market datasets. Dubai crude and the exchange rate provide upstream cost context; they do not by themselves predict when or by how much prices at the pump will change.
Independence
NZ Fuel Watch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency, fuel company, or industry body. The site is built and maintained in Auckland, New Zealand.
