NZ Fuel Watch ("fuelwatch.nz") is an independent project that aggregates publicly available fuel-price and market information for New Zealand. By accessing this website, you agree to the following terms.

Informational purposes only. All data, charts, links, and commentary are provided for general information. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, safety, emergency, or other professional advice.

No guarantees. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of information displayed. Retail fuel prices, crude prices, exchange rates, and news may be delayed, incomplete, or differ from their original sources.

Use at your own risk. You rely on this site entirely at your own risk. We accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

Availability. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Official supply information. NZ Fuel Watch does not publish fuel stock figures, scheduled tanker arrivals, or vessel tracking. Refer to MBIE's official fuel stock and shipping updates for that information.

NZ Fuel Watch respects your privacy. This policy explains the personal information we collect and how we use it under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Contact form. If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, feedback, or error report and do not sell it.

Storage. Contact-form data is stored using Supabase cloud-hosted PostgreSQL and retained until it is no longer required or you request deletion, subject to any legal obligations.

Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregated site usage such as page views and visitor counts. See Vercel's privacy information for details about its processing.

Advertising. Google AdSense and its partners may process device information and use cookies or similar technologies when ads are enabled. The Advertising section below explains how to control personalised ads.

Your rights. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Use the contact form to make a request.

NZ Fuel Watch uses or links to the following public sources:

• Retail fuel prices are sourced from Gaspy. National averages may differ from prices at individual stations.
• Dubai crude prices are compiled from public market data, including oilprice.com data for current observations and MBIE weekly fuel-price monitoring data for historical observations.
• NZD/USD exchange rates are compiled from public market data, including Yahoo Finance for current observations and MBIE weekly fuel-price monitoring data for historical observations.
• News links are aggregated through Google News. Headlines and linked articles remain the responsibility of their publishers.

Independence disclaimer. NZ Fuel Watch is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gaspy, MBIE, Google, Yahoo Finance, oilprice.com, any publisher, fuel company, government agency, or industry body. We are not associated with the "Fuel Watch NZ" Facebook page or any similarly named service. Trademarks and service marks belong to their respective owners.

Corrections. If you notice an error, please tell us through the contact form.

NZ Fuel Watch periodically collects and displays retained retail-price, crude-price, exchange-rate, and news data from the sources described above.

Automation limitations. Automated collection can produce errors, omissions, duplicates, delayed updates, or stale data. Source formats and availability can also change without notice.

Not a forecast. Charts and market context do not predict future pump prices. Always check the original source and current local prices before making a decision.

Official guidance. For fuel supply or disruption information, use the MBIE fuel stock and shipping updates. During an emergency, follow official emergency-management guidance.

NZ Fuel Watch displays Google AdSense advertisements to help cover hosting, data storage, and other operating costs.

Cookies and personalised ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can manage personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings.
